Privacy Policy – Betscore

The short version
This privacy policy explains how betscorecasino.jetzt – the independent information portal you're reading now – collects, uses and protects your personal data. We are not Betscore the operator; we're a separate review site, and this notice covers only what we do with information that reaches us through this portal.
If you register an account with the operator and play at their platform, they will collect and process your details under their own privacy policy. That's a separate relationship, governed by their terms. Here we're concerned with the much smaller set of data that passes through our own site – mainly technical information from your browser, and anything you choose to send us via a contact form.
We take your privacy seriously. This policy is written in plain British English, sets out your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and tells you exactly how to exercise them.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller for this portal is the team operating betscorecasino.jetzt. You can reach us at [email protected] with any questions about how your information is handled, or to make a request under the rights described below.
We are based in the United Kingdom and process personal data in accordance with UK data protection law – specifically the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Where we refer to "GDPR" in this policy, we mean the UK version that came into force on 1 January 2021.
What data we collect
We collect two broad categories of information: technical data your browser sends automatically, and personal details you provide directly.
Technical and usage data
When you visit this site, standard web server logs capture your IP address, browser type, operating system, the page you requested, the date and time of your visit, and the site that referred you here. This is automatic – every website on the internet collects it, because that's how the web works.
We also use cookies and similar tracking technologies. A separate cookie policy on this domain explains what each one does and how to manage them; the key point here is that some are strictly necessary (the site won't function without them), while others – used for analytics and advertising – require your consent via the banner you see on your first visit.
Information you give us directly
If you contact us through a form or send an email to [email protected], we collect whatever you choose to include: typically your name, email address and the content of your message. We never ask for payment details, passwords or sensitive financial information – if a message requests that, it didn't come from us.
We do not collect special-category data (health information, biometric data, political opinions, trade union membership, religious beliefs, information about your sex life or sexual orientation, or data revealing racial or ethnic origin) through this portal. If you volunteer such information in a message to us, we'll handle it under the stricter rules GDPR sets for that material – but we'd rather you didn't, since we have no reason to know it.
How we use your information
Technical and usage data helps us understand how people navigate the site, which pages are useful, and where improvements are needed. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, for instance) aggregate visits into anonymous statistics – we see that a page had 400 views last week, not that you specifically visited it. We use this to improve content and fix broken user journeys.
If you contact us, we use your email address and message content to respond to your enquiry. We don't add you to a mailing list or pass your details to third parties for marketing – the only use is answering the question you asked.
Advertising cookies, where you've consented to them, allow ad networks to show you relevant promotions as you browse other sites. Those networks are listed in our cookie policy and operate under their own privacy terms.
Lawful basis for processing
Under UK GDPR, every use of personal data needs a lawful basis. Ours are:
- Legitimate interests – for technical logs and essential cookies that keep the site secure and functional. Our legitimate interest is running a stable, safe platform; yours is accessing the content you came for. We've balanced those and concluded the processing is proportionate and non-intrusive.
- Consent – for analytics and advertising cookies. You grant this via the consent banner, and you can withdraw it at any time through your browser settings or the cookie-management link in the footer.
- Legal obligation – where we're required by law to retain certain records (for example, to comply with a valid court order or regulatory request).
Contact-form processing rests on legitimate interests too: you've taken the step of writing to us, and responding is both expected and necessary to provide the service you requested.
Sharing your data with third parties
We share personal information only in the limited circumstances below. We do not sell your data, and we never will.
| Recipient | What is shared | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Analytics providers (e.g. Google Analytics) | IP address, pages visited, browser type, anonymised usage patterns | To generate aggregated statistics on site performance and user behaviour |
| Advertising networks | Cookie identifiers, browsing activity (where you've consented) | To serve relevant ads on third-party sites |
| Hosting provider | All data stored on the server | To keep the site online and accessible |
| Email service provider | Your email address and message content when you contact us | To deliver and manage correspondence |
Each of these processors operates under a contract requiring them to protect your information and use it only for the specific purpose we've authorised. Where a processor is based outside the UK, we ensure adequate safeguards are in place – typically standard contractual clauses approved by the ICO, or the processor's participation in a recognised adequacy framework.
We may also disclose data if required by law – for instance, in response to a court order, or to comply with lawful requests from regulatory authorities. In such cases we'll verify the request is legitimate and disclose only what is legally required.
Your rights under UK GDPR
Data protection law gives you significant control over your personal information. Specifically, you have the right to:
- Access – request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, along with details of how we're using it.
- Rectification – ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Erasure (the "right to be forgotten") – request deletion of your data where there's no compelling reason for us to continue holding it.
- Restriction of processing – ask us to stop using your data temporarily while a dispute is resolved, or where you've objected to processing.
- Data portability – receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format and ask us to transfer it to another controller, where technically feasible.
- Object – opt out of processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing purposes. We don't do direct marketing, but you can still object to analytics or other uses if you have grounds relating to your particular situation.
- Withdraw consent – where processing relies on consent (analytics and advertising cookies, for instance), you can change your mind at any time. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect the lawfulness of processing that happened before you withdrew it.
None of these rights is absolute – there are exceptions, particularly where we're required by law to retain certain records – but we'll always explain our reasoning if we can't fulfil a request in full.
How to exercise your rights
Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Data Protection Request". Tell us which right you're exercising and provide enough detail for us to locate your information – typically your email address and the approximate date of any contact you've had with us.
We'll respond within one month, which is the standard timeframe under UK GDPR. If your request is complex or we're dealing with several from you at once, we may extend that by a further two months – but we'll let you know within the first month if that's necessary, and explain why.
There's no fee for making a request, unless it's manifestly unfounded or excessive (for example, the fifth identical request in as many weeks). In that rare case we may charge a reasonable administrative fee or refuse to act – but we'd contact you first to discuss it.
The supervisory authority
If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your data or responded to a request, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator.
You can contact them at:
- Website: ico.org.uk
- Telephone: 0303 123 1113
- Address: Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF
The ICO's helpline can advise on your rights and how to make a formal complaint. You don't need to contact us first before going to the ICO, though we'd appreciate the chance to resolve things directly.
How long we keep your data
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, or to comply with legal obligations.
Technical logs and analytics data are typically retained for 12–24 months, then deleted or anonymised so thoroughly that they can no longer identify you. Contact-form submissions are kept for as long as the conversation is active, then archived for up to two years in case you follow up – after that, they're deleted unless there's a legal reason to keep them (for instance, if they relate to an ongoing dispute).
Cookies expire according to their own schedules, which are detailed in the cookie policy. Session cookies disappear when you close your browser; persistent cookies last anywhere from a few weeks to a couple of years, depending on their function.
Protecting your information
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to safeguard personal data against unauthorised access, accidental loss and malicious attack. The site uses HTTPS encryption for all pages, meaning data travelling between your browser and our server is encrypted in transit. Our hosting provider maintains firewalls, intrusion-detection systems and regular security updates.
Access to personal data within our systems is restricted to team members who need it to perform their role, and they're trained on data protection principles. Email correspondence is stored securely and deleted in line with the retention periods above.
No system is perfectly secure – if a breach occurs that's likely to result in a risk to your rights, we'll notify the ICO within 72 hours and, where the risk is high, inform you directly. In practice, given the limited and low-sensitivity nature of what we collect, the risk of serious harm from a breach is low.
Children and young people
This site covers gambling products and is intended for adults aged 18 and over (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent us information, contact [email protected] and we'll delete it promptly.
Age verification is the operator's responsibility once a visitor leaves this site and registers with them. Here on the portal itself, we rely on prominent age warnings and the assumption that minors will not engage with gambling-related content.
Changes to this privacy policy
We may update this policy from time to time – for example, if we start using a new analytics provider, or if data protection law changes. When we do, we'll post the revised version on this page and update the "last revised" date below.
Significant changes – ones that materially affect your rights or how we use your data – will be highlighted at the top of the policy for a reasonable period, so you're aware before the new terms take effect. Continuing to use the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
It's worth checking back occasionally, especially if you've previously made a data-protection request or have ongoing correspondence with us.
Questions and contact
If anything in this policy is unclear, or you have a question that isn't covered, email us at [email protected]. We'll respond within 48 hours during normal working days.
For formal data-protection requests (access, erasure, rectification), use the same address but mark the subject line "Data Protection Request" so it's routed to the right person immediately.
